Never Lie To Impress is the opening track to the album, and is also the name of the album. This "poem of a song" basically gives an introduction to the albums theme!

Never lie to impress
Because in the end you're not who you claim to be
I can write you a thousand lines on how you've messed with my mind
Wasted my time

Verse:
Have you ever had somebody dig a hole into your heart
A hole so deep that everything around you seemed to turn completely dark
Dark enough to keep you blind from all the possibilities around you
Possibilities that could've changed your life or for once made you happy
Not for once as if you never were but for once as of now because as of now
you seem trapped to trapped to let yourself show to trapped to let yourself
know that even for someone as beautiful as you it's impossible to shine in an
abyss of old feelings you thought to be true

Verse 2:
We're you so deep In love
With the idea of that somebody meaning that you weren't truly in love with them
but rather with the image you created inside your head
And they'd be on your mind every minute of your day
Because you thought that this image your brain portrayed to you was meant to
stay but no it wasn't because the idea that you had of them only matched up with
who they claimed to be you see they lied to impress you in every way they knew
would make you stay but now here you remain with an emotional scar that you
know will never go away so now you're broken
But you have to pick yourself back up and realize that in the end they don't deserve
you let someone new fill in the gap that they left inside your heart and live a life happily
with your new counterpart
